It’s important to us to do everything we can to provide the right resources for van operators to minimize risk and ensure safety. Whatever we can do to make their work go smoother and help their businesses be more successful matters to us. We hold annual workshops, branch-level safety meetings, and provide monthly educational posters for display at each branch, to name a few.
One area we stress in our workshops and training materials is proper time management to help van operators avoid the rush in meeting the delivery spread. It’s natural for van operators to want to stay at home and leave on the latest possible day so they can spend more time with their families. We understand there are times when a van operator might want to stay in a particular area of the country for as long as possible before leaving for the next destination.
Cutting it too close might limit your ability to take your time to follow best practices, deal with time constraints and/or unexpected delays, and possibly reduce your ability to focus on your performance. You could get a speeding ticket or receive violations at a DOT stop. Rushing to meet the delivery spread and customer needs can affect you and the company in many ways. We’re here to help van operators operate in a safe and effective work environment.
