BARRETT EXPANDS ISO CERTIFICATION WORK.

ISO 9001:2000 Certification Process Broadened to Illinois and Wisconsin locations
. Since receiving ISO certification for its Minnesota locations and corporate headquarters in June of 2005, Barrett has begun to expand its ISO 9001:2000 Certification process at its locations in Milwaukee, Kenosha (WI), and Chicago, where Quality Process Teams have begun the work of analyzing and documenting processes and procedures.

"This is very exciting for us," says Roger Gename, sales manager and ISO team leader at Barrett/Otto Nelson in Kenosha, Wisconsin. "Customer service is already our first priority. Now we have the chance to refine what we do, and make even more of an impact for our customers."

Randy Koepsell, president of Barrett, echoes Gename. "We are already seeing the results of our first certification process in our Minnesota location and for our corporate staff. The whole process constantly renews our focus on quality, and keeps ideas for improvement at the forefront."

BARRETT RECOGNIZED WITH THREE TOP AWARDS AT UNITED VAN LINES CONVENTION IN FLORIDA.

Barrett was pleased to be awarded three key awards at the United Van Lines annual convention in Kissimee, Florida this year. Barrett was recognized for delivering quality service through claims prevention and reduction with the IMPACT Award, which is determined on the basis of low claims experience in household goods hauling, packing, and warehousing. With a first-place award in Fleet Safety Barrett continues its tradition of recognition for helping to ensure the safety of our shipments, our agency and van line personnel, and all those who use our nation's highways.

For the fifth time, Barrett was recognized with the Customer Choice Award, which recognizes total quality service performance. Based on our customers' high ratings, and superior performance in claims, safety, Quality Labor Training, and accounting performance, Barrett took home its fourth award in five years, and fifth since the program was initiated in 1994.

Barrett Moving & Storage is proud to play a part in relief for victims of Hurricane Katrina. In collaboration with the Minnesota Vikings, Barrett is collecting clothing and other items for hurricane victims at the Vikings' Winter Park location in Eden Prairie. Barrett will transport the over 40 tons of items collected through the Vikings organization to the hurricane devastated area.

Barrett employees donated more than $4,500, including matching contributions from the company, to the American Red Cross.

Barrett's Milwaukee agency provided transport for veterinary supplies for the more than 1,200 animals (dogs, cats, a few tortoises, a pot belly
pig, some chickens and ducks) who are stranded because of the hurricane. They are being housed in a horse barn and arena at Louisiana State University. Large dogs are being housed in the horse barn, smaller dogs in crates in the arena, cats in a curved hallway around the outside the arena. There is a command center which is the main communication area - complete with computer network system setup. There is also a veterinary triage center for injured/sick animals to be evaluated and treated. The critical animals are sent to the vet school for more intensive care. Barrett's own Dave Skokan headed up a team of volunteers who loaded the truck, and Dave has volunteered to drive to Shreveport to deliver the supplies.

Barrett donated more than 500 cartons to KMSP-TV Fox 9 News' collection efforts during the Labor Day Weekend, and assisted students, parents, and faculty of the Minnetonka Minnesota Schools by transporting a full van load of much-needed items for Katrina refugees. One fifth grade classroom collected enough money to pay for fuel on the trip down to Louisiana, adding to Barrett's donation of equipment, and our van operators' donation of time.

“This letter is to express my thankfulness for the excellent services we received from your employees who worked in my moving from Venezuela. They did it very well, were organized, clean and fast. Your company should keep employees like them all the time because when foreign people move to a new country, everything is unknown, and I really appreciated people who provided this process easily and these people did it.”
